The three-layer model
Layer 1: Automated extraction
AI extracts all relevant fields and returns confidence scores. High-confidence results go straight to export with no human involvement. Target 90-95% straight-through processing.
Layer 2: Human validation (exceptions only)
Low-confidence documents or fields route to your validation queue. Reviewers see exactly which fields need attention - not the entire document. One validator can handle significantly more volume this way.
Layer 3: Export and integration
Validated data flows to your downstream system - ERP, database, client portal, or webhook endpoint. No copy-paste, no re-entry.
