Connecting AI Tools (MCP)

Connect Claude or another AI assistant to your account with read-only access.

Connect your own AI assistant (for example Claude) directly to your Foxello account using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so it can answer questions about your workflows, files, and extraction results without you copying data back and forth. Access is read-only and available on every plan.

What it can do

Once connected, your AI assistant can read:

  • Your workflows, including which model each one uses (Instant, Instinct, or Mastery)
  • Files and their processing status
  • Extracted field results for processed files
  • Your account's plan and usage

What it cannot do

The connection is strictly read-only. It cannot upload files, change workflow settings, approve or edit extracted fields, or modify your account in any way.

Connect your AI tool

  1. In your AI tool, add a new connector (in Claude: Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector).

  2. Enter the Foxello MCP server URL:

    Environment MCP server URL
    Production https://api.foxello.com/api/v1/mcp
  3. Start the connection from your AI tool. You are redirected to Foxello to sign in (if you are not already).

  4. Review the consent screen - it names the app requesting access and lists exactly what it can read - and click Allow access.

  5. You are returned to your AI tool automatically. No token or API key to copy and paste.

You can now ask your AI tool things like "what workflows do I have in Foxello" or "what's the status of the invoice I uploaded yesterday."

Managing connected apps

Go to Settings > Connected Apps to see every AI tool connected to your account and when it was connected.

Click Revoke on any entry to disconnect it immediately. A revoked app loses access right away and must go through the connect steps again to reconnect.

Common questions

Question Answer
Can it upload or change anything? No - read-only access only.
Do I need to generate a token? No - the connection uses a consent screen, not a token you manage yourself.
Can I connect more than one AI tool? Yes - each one gets its own entry in Connected Apps and can be revoked independently.
Is this available on my plan? Yes - available on every plan.

See Team and Access for how sign-in works if you are not already logged in when you connect.
